Lina Turygina is a first-year Ph.D. student in Slavic Languages and Literatures at Harvard University. Her research focuses on Russophone émigré literature of the 20th and 21st centuries, with particular attention to questions of displacement, boarder crossings, gender, and adaptation across genres and languages. She has written on authors such as Nina Berberova, Irina Odoevtseva, Ekaterina Bakunina, and Olga Zilberbourg, exploring themes of loneliness, urban space, and the poetics of everyday life. Lina's broader interests include translation, short story theory, cultural memory, and literary anthropology.
