Patrick Meyer is a specialist in energy policy and sustainable development in developing countries, with expertise in renewable energy, energy efficiency, water, biodiversity, and forestry. He is currently serving as the Energy Advisor for USAID's Central Asia Regional Mission in Almaty, Kazakhstan where he oversees a $90 million energy portfolio. This is Dr. Meyer's third tour with USAID, having previously served in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Yerevan, Armenia. Prior to USAID, he worked in the Department of State's Bureau of Energy Resources. He holds a Ph.D. in Energy & Environmental Policy from the Joseph R. Biden School of Public Policy at the University of Delaware.
