The Human Frontier Science Program Organization invites applications for the HFSP Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships, providing opportunities for fellows to obtain funding for novel life science research projects that differ from their previous PhD or postdoctoral work. Applicants must propose a change in their current country of residence where they are not a national, and a change in research field to be considered for the fellowship.
Fellowships are awarded for a period of 36 months, with funding for postdoctoral salary, research, and travel expenses, and begin between April 1, 2026 and January 1, 2027.

Non-renewable one- to six-month grants to fund highly qualified Ukrainian graduate students, doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers for short research stays in Germany. Projects carried out in coordination with a scientific host/supervisor in Germany. Project proposals from all academic disciplines are eligible for funding. Qualified Ukrainians may apply regardless of the country in which they currently reside.

The Opus Magnum Scholarship supports an established professor at a German university to undertake a 6 to 18 month leave of absence and produce a scholarly treatise in the humanities, cultural studies, or social sciences. The scholarship also funds a substitute professorship for early-career academics to cover the scholarship recipient's leave of absence.
The successful applicant will receive up to €195,000 euros to fund their work, while the Volkswagen Foundation also funds the substitute professor's salary and up to an additional €5,000 euros per semester for personal expenses.
