Dr. Albulenë Kastrati is an academic with over 14 years of experience in higher education and research, and a banking professional with a decade of service at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo. During her tenure at the central bank, she made significant contributions focusing on economic analyses, financial risk assessments, and the development of new research methodologies. Dr. Kastrati’s expertise has allowed her to publish extensively, including a university textbook on banking management and regulation. She designs and lectures a variety of courses in economics, finance and business at higher education institutions both in Kosovo and the United States. In 2022 she was recognized as the Mentor of the Year by the U.S. Embassy for her work on bridging established professionals with students and young entrants in the professional labor market. A Fulbright Scholar, she has conducted post-doc research at Duke University tackling critical economic issues, such as unutilized financial and economic resources, contributing valuable insights to the field of applied economics. She currently works as an assistant professor of economics at Bridgewater State University.
