Megan Luttrell

Outreach Coordinator, Center for Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies at University of Kansas

Megan Luttrell received her PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Kansas in 2018. She has taught Russian language and literature at KU, Indiana University, and Colby College. Passionate about music, art, and literature, she has organized numerous cultural events through CREES.

As Chair of the Baldwin City Public Library Board, Megan developed a partnership with CREES and launched the Story Time Around the World series. She also collaborates with the Lawrence Public Library on Multicultural Story Time and the Perspectives on Ukraine series.

In her role as CREES Outreach Coordinator, Megan leads K–12 and community outreach initiatives focused on the languages and cultures of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia. She gives school presentations, organizes hands-on cultural activities, and coordinates a foreign language program at the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center. She also manages the CREES newsletter, Spring Festival, social media, and community partnerships.
