Nathan Hutson is an Assistant Professor of Urban Planning at the University of North Texas and a consultant for the World Bank. He has fifteen years of rail and maritime planning experience. His recent research relates to the impact of the invasion of Ukraine on the Belt and Road Initiative in Central Asia. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Southern California and a Master's in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
