Zachary Hollis is a master's student in the Davis Center's REECA program specializing in soft power, religion, language politics, and identity in Central Asia. He graduated with honors and high distinction from Indiana University Bloomington with degrees in Slavic and East European languages and cultures, political science, and Spanish linguistics. As an undergrad, he spent a year studying abroad in Bishkek and Almaty, and later spent two years with the Peace Corps in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, where he taught English in a rural school. He plans to explore issues related to soft power, religion, language, and identity in the region.
