Daria Malchykova holds a D.Sc. in economic and social geography, and has worked as a lecturer, associate professor, and head of the Department of Socioeconomic Geography at Kherson State University in Ukraine. Since February 2021, she has been vice rector for educational, scientific, and pedagogical affairs and a professor at the Department of Geography and Ecology. Daria's main research interests include human geography, geographical education, spatial planning, and regional development. Her recent studies focus on scholarly reflections on the social and spatial processes that occur during war, including the impact of war on higher education.
