James Lee is a partner at Brock Group, a boutique investment bank and a business advisory firm. Author of The Partition of Korea After World War II: A Global History (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006) and other published works, Lee has held research appointments at Harvard's Korea Institute and Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. A recipient of numerous research grants, honors and fellowships, Lee was the editor-in-chief of Harvard Asia Quarterly and covered Chile, Fiji, New Zealand, Namibia, and South Africa as a travel writer for Let's Go, a travel guidebook series. A regular contributor to American Historical Review (Oxford University Press) and Journal of Cold War Studies (MIT Press), Lee served as a teaching fellow at Harvard University and the University of California, San Diego, and has taught at Bowdoin College, Dartmouth College, Stonehill College and Manchester University. Fluent in Korean and English, Lee is proficient in Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and French. A member of the Pacific Council on International Policy, Lee chairs the National Security Group at Harvard Club of New York.
