Since her graduation from American University with a degree in public relations and strategic communication in 2019, Nana Gongadze has worked as a communications professional in media, advocacy, and international affairs in Washington DC. Previously, she was a digital communications specialist at the German Marshall Fund, a U.S.-based think tank focused on transatlantic issues, and headed advocacy communications for Razom for Ukraine, focusing on the team’s campaign for U.S. assistance to Ukraine. She is the author of multiple editorials that have published in The Kyiv Independent, Ukrainska Pravda, and OC Media, formerly served as and an advisory board member of the Gongadze Prize, an award for Ukrainian journalists. In 2025, she was named one of the American University School of Communication's "30 Under 30" alumni. She is interested in researching the intersections of digital communication, public diplomacy, and nation branding during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
