Paul-André Bempéchat is an internationally renowned concert pianist and music historian, specialized, respectively, in the First Viennese School and Nationalism. His ground-breaking monograph on the eclectic Franco-Breton composer and physicist, Vice-Admiral Jean Cras, earned him a Knighthood from the French Government, and the distinction of Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academic Chapel at Uppsala University, Sweden.
