A native of Kyiv, Natasha immigrated to the United States during the Cold War and studied International Relations at Georgetown University.
Center Associate
Elizabeth Brainerd’s research focuses on labor and health economics, with particular interest in understanding the social and health consequences of the transition to capitalism in formerly socialist countries.

Alex Braslavsky is a scholar and translator of Russian, Polish, and Czech poetry.

Aurel Braun has published extensively on communist affairs and strategic studies with a special focus on the problems of the transformation of the socialist systems in the former Soviet Union and in Eastern Europe.

Catherine Breen is the managing director of Harvard Online & Advances in Learning at Harvard, part of the Provost’s Office, overseeing the university’s online learning strategy and operations for certificate programs.
