Dr. Albana Shehaj is a political scientist specializing in international political economy and democratic developments. She serves as program manager at Harvard University’s Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES) and as co-principal investigator for the World Values Survey at the University of Michigan. Her research explores EU integration, accountability, and distributive politics in Europe's post-socialist countries, assessing the impact of international organizations like the EU, IMF, and World Bank on democratic performance and migration. Her work is published in journals such as Economics and Politics, European Policy Analysis, International Interactions and others.

Dr. Shehaj holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan, where she also received an M.A. in international relations and methodology, and a B.A. in political science and computer science.
